NAAC Accreditation is Mandatory

To keep pace with globalization on education & technological advancements, and make quality a defining element of education, The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) focuses on enriching the learning experiences of students & contributes to skills development by facilitating state-of-the-art educational technologies. NAAC helps the Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) to achieve educational excellence by evaluating & analyzing its academic strengths, growth opportunities, and areas that need improvement through an informed review process. Institutions with top NAAC score depict highest quality of education in terms of teaching, learning, infrastructure, and research. NAAC accreditation, is an important parameter for RUSA grants, UGC grants, or any kind of financial assistance.

New Guidelines : 2017

The revised assessment & accreditation framework of NAAC, as of July 2017, focuses on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) & quality. As per the updated guidelines, the NAAC Evaluation is based on the following 7 Key Criterion:

  • Curricular Aspect
  • Teaching Learning
  • Research, Innovation & Extension
  • Infrastructure and Learning Resources
  • Student Support and Progression
  • Governance, Leadership, and Management
  • Institutional Values and Best Practices

NAAC has introduced the concept of System Generated Scores (SGS) with combination of QnM, quantitative online evaluation (about 70%) and qualitative peer judgment (about 30%) for simplification of process & greater transparency.

The data-based quantitative metrics QnM, require highly precise institutional data of last five years comprising information about staff, faculty members, UG & PG students, Alumni, prominent events, conferences, certificate courses and other crucial activities promoting the overall development of the institution.

In addition to this, NAAC committee also requires online submission of Self-study Report (SSR) for quality assessment as per the mentioned format along with verified documents & necessary proof. All the proofs & reports are subject to Data Validation & Verification (DVV) Process in which invalid data is filtered out. Therefore, accurate reports & data during the A&A serve as a catalyst for getting NAAC accreditation. To collect & preserve correct institutional data along with maintaining its proof manually requires a lot of consistent efforts from colleges.

MasterSoft’s NAAC SSR Automation Software

MasterSoft offers a comprehensive NAAC Accreditation Management Software for empowering higher education institutions with strategic assessment, tracking of learning outcomes, feedback, and generation of accurate institutional SSR reports required for the accreditation process. The NAAC module collects, manages, and analyzes the entire year-on-year institutional data systematically in chronological order for ensuring its accuracy & satisfying the NAAC accreditation standards. The software architecture follows the SSR theme with exact terminologies & sequences. In addition to this, it also facilitates simple-to-use data entry forms enabling stakeholders to enter extra information or data regarding events, alumni activities, seminars, or any certificate courses, enhancing their performance during NAAC A&A.

Data is stored on highly safe cloud servers that follow parameters of GI cloud - Meghraj Policy set by the Government of India ensuring data security with multiple data backups and zero data losses. Institutions can download the SSR reports at any given point in time. Thus, it encourages higher education institutions to improve their work processes & achieve academic excellence through quick data analysis, accurate SSR report generation along with maintaining data security & privacy.
